1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, and a hashed password. During interpretation sessions, we collect your spoken audio (processed in real-time and not stored as audio files), interpretation transcripts, session metadata (duration, word count, language pair), and performance scores.

2. How We Use Your Information

• ▸To provide and improve the interpretation training service
• ▸To generate AI-powered performance scores and feedback
• ▸To maintain the public leaderboard (anonymized by display name)
• ▸To send account verification and transactional emails
• ▸To process subscription payments via Stripe

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers within the EU. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plaintext. Audio streams are processed in real-time using encrypted WebSocket connections (wss://) and are not persisted after transcription. We use TLS 1.2+ for all data in transit.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• ▸Deepgram — real-time speech recognition. Audio is transmitted to Deepgram's servers for processing.
• ▸OpenAI — AI-powered scoring of your interpretation. Transcripts are sent to OpenAI's API.
• ▸Stripe — payment processing. We never store your card details.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request data deletion, contact us at privacy@simultalive.com. Interpretation transcripts can be deleted from your account page. Account deletion removes all associated personal data within 30 days.

6. Cookies

Simultalive does not use tracking cookies. We use localStorage in your browser to store your authentication token and user preferences. No advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies are used.
